Spotlight: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA)

Communiteer is collaborating with Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (MIFA) to tackle mental health!

We’re really excited to have Mental Illness Fellowship Australia (MIFA) join our community! They are an alliance of community-managed mental health services, supporting over 20,000 people across Australia. They work with and alongside participants and members of their organisations in every program, whether as staff, managers, peers, volunteers or board members.

MIFA runs MiNetworks, an Australia-wide hotline service offering mental health information and referral from mental health professionals. MIFA also runs the Psychosis Australia Trust in association with the Australian Psychosis Research Network. The mission of the Psychosis Australia Trust is to support organisational, investment, and policy capacity to carry out priority-driven research into schizophrenia and bipolar disorder – with the aim of helping all those affected by these mental illnesses to live better lives now.

MIFA are creating impact through their contribution towards the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:

Together with your help, we can help reduce the harm of mental illness and make a lasting impact on mental wellness.
