Spotlight: The Banksia Project

Communiteer is collaborating with The Banksia Project to tackle mental health!

We’re really excited to have The Banksia Project join our community! They are a For-Purpose organisation that focuses on mental wellness and early intervention in mental illness using evidence-based practices and solutions that encourage prevention and recovery.

They run two distinct programs, namely The Growth Rooms and The Garden Rooms. These programs have been developed by mental health professionals, industry leaders and other key professional bodies to deliver peer-to-peer, community-led support in a safe and supportive environment.

The Growth Rooms are ‘gyms for the mind’ where you and your peers can form a team and start a discussion around positive mental health today. The Garden Rooms are free, open forums to provide safe, easily accessible and evidence-based education regarding mental health and issues around mental illness.

The Banksia Project is creating impact through their contribution towards the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

Together with your help, we can help reduce the harm of mental illness and make a lasting impact on mental wellness.
