Social Enterprise

Green Fox Studios

Green Fox Studio is a social enterprise, operating a not-for-profit design training studio inside a high-security men’s prison near Ipswich, Queensland. We have developed a number of teaching platforms, which were designed by prisoners for prisoners, and we are currently reviewing and tailoring these resources to younger detainees to support our expansion into youth justice.

Our interventions are particularly well suited to meeting the needs of this demographic, as the majority of our trainees are youths, to whom creative industries careers hold great appeal. We are confident that this is an effective way to continue to positively impact our society through crime prevention.

WomenCAN Australia

WomenCAN Facilities Services (WCFS) is a unique woman to woman facilities and maintenance services business where qualified tradeswomen provide trades, gardening, cleaning and other residential services to women in their homes, with our primary focus on crisis accommodation.

We assist vulnerable and often traumatized women living in rooming houses or short and long term accommodation for disadvantaged women.

WomenCAN Australia is our charity dedicated to assisting women to become work ready. Our program, The Placement Circle (TPC), supports vulnerable or isolated women to build their confidence and become employment capable by connecting them to TAFE training & legitimate jobs in high-demand labour sectors such as Trades, Aged Care, Transport, and Commercial Cookery.

Trainees build their independence through professional, paid, on-the-job training and independent living training in a dedicated onsite apartment called the Academy of Independence.

Hotel Etico aims not only to train and empower the individual trainees but to change community’s
attitudes towards disability and employment, demonstrating that every individual has abilities and, if
supported, is able to live an independent and fulfilling live and being a productive community member.
