Virtually Together – July Update

Building our social good network has been challenging, but not in the ways we expected.

Corporate Collaborations

We didn’t expect to receive such significant engagement from the corporate sector, looking to keep their working-from-home staff engaged with purposeful team bonding opportunities.

Pfizer, RACV and Johnson & Johnson staff are bringing significant numbers of changemakers to our social good network, many of whom with skills in digital marketing, finance, HR and IT.

Community Partnerships

These past couple of months have seen us progress further than ever with our community partners, including Volunteering ACT, Good2Give and the City of Parramatta. All of which have brought on more charities looking to utilising virtual volunteering to combat their current challenges.

Charity Engagement

With events cancelled and face-to-face engagement minimised, our expectation was that virtual volunteering would fill that space.  While there was a strong engagement in digital solutions to start, many organisations are facing organisational restructuring, business continuity concerns, and difficult choices.

This has encouraged us to simplify things a bit, focusing only on the virtual volunteering side of things while getting projects completed is the highest priority, particularly in the areas of digital marketing, finance, HR and IT.

As such, during July and August, we will be providing specialised resources in these areas to address directly the key charity pain points, starting with the launch of our integration with Good2Give – Australia’s largest workplace giving platform!

Good2Give

We are excited to announce the launch of our integrated solution that will allow corporations to empower their staff to contribute their money, skills or time to charities they support and create a greater impact.

  • Access high-value donations and reduce your fundraising costs
  • Run appeals aligned to volunteer-involved programs, combining both fundraising and skill volunteering
  • Build a stronger relationship with your corporate volunteers/donors to increase ongoing collaboration and higher commitment

Next Month

We will be focusing more directly on helping charities understand virtual volunteering through our webinars on online community engagement, the fundamentals of the Communiteer and consultation sessions.
