Virtually Together Weekly Update 18.08.20

We’ve had a busy week engaging with students looking to utilise virtual volunteering with this year’s National Student Volunteer Week. 👩‍🎓

Volunteering can help students make new connections, hone their skills and create social impact at the same time.

Whilst we’re in discussions with a number of universities to integrate skill-based volunteering into their courses, it was great to sit down with the students themselves to discuss what it means to them.

We had 25 people attend our ‘Volunteering for Students’ webinar, and many sign-ups to the platform, with most of those joining projects. 🙌

More of our NFPs have completed their communities and uploaded opportunities, including Volunteering ACT, United Nations Young Professionals – Queensland Division and EcoCentre. You’ll see these shared on social media throughout the next few weeks.

Many of these focus on the skills of marketing, management and strategy, and design and media. We’re busily building up our corporate volunteer pool to meet this demand.

Thanks again for checking in and we look forward to seeing you take part in our Virtually Together campaign. 💻
