Social & Sustainable Procurement

Employee Volunteering

Making better choices at work.

With regulation increasing, Corporate Australia is stepping forward to embrace sustainable procurement, but do their employees understand their impact on this global issue?

Communiteer is joining forces with Social Traders to build our collective knowledge of circular economy and sustainability practices via community participation with local communities.

Let’s re-evaluate each choice made at the smallest to the largest levels of economic participation and enable our teams with the knowledge to make sustainable procurement choices.

Together, we can use business as a force for good to create holistic change to hit vital climate and modern slavery targets.

Social & Sustainable Procurement covers the follow topics:

Social enterprise, First Nations investment, climate action, modern slavery and circular economy.

Resources & Stories

What Does the Change in Government Mean for Sustainable Procurement?

The Federal election was held on 21 May 2022, and a new Labor Party was elected to Government for the next term. As with any new Government, especially when there is a change in the dominant party, we can expect to see some important changes to policy in Australia.

How soft skills can boost your sustainable procurement career

A business works best when it has a diverse range of skills, brought in by a diverse range of people with diverse backgrounds.

Businesses with more skilled staff are shown to have higher rates of innovation and productivity. And there’s a consistent relationship between human capital and economic growth.

Collaborative Sustainable Procurement: The future of Strategic Procurement

The term ‘collaborative procurement’ is a positive strategic move designed to consolidate resources and streamline procurement efforts both in Australia and around the world. But why should Councils and public bodies consider collaborative efforts in their procurement strategies, and how can we help?
