Moving the World to Protect Animals featuring Ben Pearson

World Animal Protection aims to create a world where animals live free from cruelty and suffering.

Ensuring the protection of animals is vital to promoting the health of people and the planet.

Ben Pearson, Head of Campaigns at World Animal Protection Australia

The work of World Animal Protection encompasses the treatment of animals in the wild, animals in farming, animals in communities and animals in disasters.

Pearson emphasises that, “By focusing on those four program areas, we can essentially focus on most animals in the world because that’s where the majority of animals are represented.”

“Animals are the voiceless. They don’t have a voice to speak for themselves and we have to do that for them. Animals are sentient, beautiful beings and they deserve to be treated well.”

“If animals could tell humans anything it would be that you need to treat us better, you need to be more mindful of the fact that we feel emotions like you do and do more to make us feel like we have a life worth living.”

World Animal Protection is working towards bringing about a lasting change for animals worldwide. To find out more about World Animal Protection, look out for more blog posts from Communiteer.
